THROUGH THE UNDERWORLD

The May 2026 Full Moon rises on May 1st at 11° Scorpio, squaring Pluto, the ruler of the underworld, and trine Jupiter in Cancer. This is not a light Full Moon. It is a descent. A culmination of a passage that may have begun months ago, around last November, when something shifted, ended or was taken from your hands.

Scorpio is the sign of death and rebirth. But the transformation itself does not happen at the moment of loss but in the underworld. And this Full Moon illuminates that space. A space you come to know each time Pluto moves through your birth chart.

The Space In Between

There are moments in life that do not feel like endings or beginnings. They feel like something in between.

The underworld is not a place. It is a state of being, the space you enter when something has ended but nothing new has begun.

A relationship closes, a role dissolves or an identity no longer fits, and suddenly, the ground beneath you feels loose.
You may feel lost, alone, exposed or without direction, stripped away of what you once used to define yourself, what once was the familiar.
From that place, the underwolrd asks you to walk without certainty.

And in that space, something profound begins to happen. You meet yourself without the roles or the story you used to tell.

With Pluto involved, one feeling often rises to the surface: powerlessness.

Things may feel out of your control as if life is moving you rather than the other way around.
And in many ways, it is. Pluto does not negotiate. It does not ask for permission. It reveals what is no longer aligned
and removes the illusion that you can hold onto it.

This can feel intense, unsettling even overwhelming.

But beneath that intensity is something else: truth.

Because what feels like loss is often the clearing of space. Like emptying a room before something new can enter or clearing out the old before fresh life can grow.

The Illusion of Control

At first, the underworld feels like absence of clarity, direction and certainty.

But if you stay, if you keep walking without rushing to escape it , you begin to notice something.

You are still here.

And slowly, a different kind of knowing emerges, you are more than what you lost.

This is the power of Scorpio. Instead of control or force, the ability to remain present through transformation.
To trust that what is falling away is making space for something more aligned.

To recognise that even in the depths, you are not empty. You are more than enough.

While Pluto intensifies the process, Jupiter in Cancer offers support, a reminder that you are held, even as things fade. Because what follows this Full Moon is a New Moon in Taurus, a radical new beginning rooted in stability, value, and growth.

May 2026 Full Moon in Scorpio: Through the Underworld

This May 2026 Full Moon in Scorpio does not ask you to fix anything. It asks you to trust the process you are already in.

To honour what has ended, feel what is present and release what cannot continue.

You can begin here:

  • What has come to an end in my life, even if I am still adjusting to it?
  • Where am I trying to hold onto something that is already leaving?
  • What would it feel like to trust that this space is preparing me for something new?

You do not need to rush out of the underworld, you only need to keep walking.

The underworld is the part of the journey where you realise that even when everything else falls away, you still have yourself. And that is everything.

This Full Moon marks a turning point, moment of completion and preparation for what is to come.
Have the courage to let go, to stay present and to trust.

Because what is arriving next will meet you not as who you were but as who you are.

And that version of you is more than enough.

With love and care,

Ester
