This Full Moon in Sagittarius is also a Total Lunar Eclipse; it is the Super Flower Blood Moon and the first eclipse for 2021.
During the Super Flower Blood Moon (May’s Full Moon is known as the Flower Moon), the Moon will pass through Earth’s shadow, causing it to appear red. This is why total lunar eclipses are called “blood moons.” Also, the Moon will be at the closest point to Earth, making it a “supermoon” too.
The eclipse is at 5° Sagittarius, and it is a South Node eclipse. If Full Moons are emotional times of culmination and letting go, South Nodes eclipses are the same but on a karmic, soul level and much more intense.
Trust what is fading away.
Know that it is time to let it go.
The lunar eclipse is making a challenging communication (square) with Jupiter, the planet of expansion and growth – daring you to move beyond your comfort zone and be open to abundance.
What fears do you need shedding to do that?
What old skin is keeping your wings clipped?
The death of the caterpillar is the birth of the butterfly.
Sagittarius rules our beliefs and sense of truth.
If your beliefs are making you feel small, time to shed them.
Truth is not the same as being right.
Being right is not the same as loving.
Venus, the planet of love, comes together with the planet of the mind, Mercury, and she will help us speak the truth from the heart.
Use the next couple of weeks to finish up and clear out what no longer is true to make space for the upcoming New Moon in Gemini, a Solar Annular Eclipse.
