Your worth.

On April 30th/ May 1st, there is a New Moon in Taurus and a solar eclipse. Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac, ruled by Venus, the planet of value.

If Aries is where the first spark is ignited, Taurus is where that spark takes form and gives that first idea/thought a valuable body and resources, so the spark doesn’t die out.

After all, Taurus is a fixed earth sign that embodies the spirit of the Spring.

A sprouting seed without soil eventually dies.
A goal without a plan eventually evaporates.

Value

The grounding nature of Taurus helps to set practical plans in motion, like the wood that keeps the fire burning.

Taurus is well aware of the energy it takes to keep a fire burning and asks, what fire is genuinely worth it to keep burning? Where do you put your precious resources into?

Venus is the ruler of this New Moon in Taurus, and you can think of her symbol as an anchor that leads to an opening of the heart. When you know your value, your worth, and feel anchored to it, how much safer it feels to open your heart and receive!

Venus invites you to really feel the value of your projects and ideas and stay anchored to keep going and keep that fire alive. Without comparing it to others. Your value is intrinsic to you, and it cannot be compared to others because there is no one like you. And to feel your worth in the present moment, where you are right now.

But feeling that value in yourself and what you are doing can be difficult. That is why self-love is such a critical practice to cultivate. The more you develop love for yourself, the easier it is to find value in what you do. Compassion and gratitude are two actions you can take every day to help you do that.

Love

This New Moon in Taurus will also be under the influence of Venus, joining Jupiter (expansion) and Neptune (universal love) on April 27th, in Pisces, the most spiritual sign of the zodiac. You can navigate the fog and confusion that those energies can bring by connecting to your heart. An excellent way to do that is to go to nature to quiet your mind, ground yourself and feel connected to mother Earth.

Stand bare feet or lay on the ground
Go for a long walk amongst trees
Be in or by the water
Have your back against a tree and breath deeply

Taurus is mother Earth; the more you learn to value her, the more you will appreciate yourself, and the more you connect to her, the more you will connect with yourself. Until you realise you are part of One.

Eclipse

This New Moon in Taurus is a solar eclipse, which means that it happens close to the North Node of destiny. For more information on eclipses, read this post.
If a New Moon is a time for new beginnings, it is time for fated, powerful, new beginnings when there is an eclipse.

This is an excellent opportunity to find the anchor in yourself, find clarity about what you value and connect to your heart’s desires.

Uranus (insight and radical change) and Eros (passion and love) are joining (conjunct) the New Moon. Anything could happen, and any new fire could be lit that aligns with your heart’s desires. Don’t resist it. Be open to it. It might just be that fated spark you need to fly towards the horizon of your destiny.

Keep your fire burning,

With love and care,

Ester

New Moon ceremonies to set intentions is an ancient practice. When we consciously write down what we want, we co-create with the Universe. And in the process, we dissolve our inner resistance. It is the time of the New Moon, and the following 8-12h AFTER are the most potent hours to set intentions. Up to 3 days is ok.

Check the information for the New Moon Circles here. It is a warm, welcoming space to be supported and heard. And perfect to set intentions.
