There is a New Moon at 4 degrees Virgo on August 27th. Virgo is an earth, mutable sign. It grounds and changes the energy after the fiery Leo season in preparation for autumn.

Virgo likes to be practical, organised and de-clutter.

What area of your life do you need to bring order to the most?

New Moons are times of new beginnings, of planting new seeds and intentions. And Virgo is the sign of health and routines. Use the energy of fresh starts to implement healthier habits. Check your diet.

Are you treating your body as a temple?

Virgo’s symbol is the Virgin Goddess, who trusted herself, and was independent, powerful and strong. She was confident and self-reliant. She honoured herself and treated her body as a temple.

At the time of the New Moon, Venus (love and relationships) will be opposing Saturn (commitment and boundaries), which could bring relationship issues to the fore. Remember, you are not in relationships because you need them, but because you want them.

You are independent, strong and powerful, like the Virgin Goddess.

The New Moon in Virgo is also creating a tense relationship with Mars (action and anger) currently in Mercury-ruled Gemini (communication). You might feel like taking action instead of just talking.

If you are called to take action, make sure it is planned, not impulsive.

With Uranus just turning retrograde, many planets are now in retrograde motion. Use this cycle to re-assess, slow down and integrate. Tap into the energies of the Virgin Goddess and focus on getting yourself and your life in order.

If planning, routines, order and diet don’t sound very exciting, bring in some of the mystical qualities of its opposite sign (Pisces). Maybe you can think of daily rituals instead of routines, nourishing foods instead of a diet and alignment instead of planning and order.

Mercury is the ruler of Virgo – how can you change the words you use to inspire you to take positive action?

You have the power to do that and more.

With love and care,

Ester

New Moon ceremonies to set intentions is an ancient practice. When we consciously write down what we want, we co-create with the Universe. And in the process, we dissolve our inner resistance. It is the time of the New Moon, and the following 8-12h AFTER are the most potent hours to set intentions. Up to 3 days is ok.
