A year of energetic change.
2023 comes with significant shifts in the sky that will undoubtedly be felt on Earth – collectively and individually. Significant changes can be experienced like the storm before the calm.
When a slow-moving planet changes sign, there is an energy shift.
In 2023, three slow-moving planets and the lunar nodes will change signs, which is a significant energy shift.
While changes feel like endings, they come with the promise of new beginnings.
What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.

Let’s look at the major transits for 2023.
2023 Energy shifts: Pluto
The most important transit of 2023 takes place on March 23rd, 2023, when Pluto leaves Capricorn, the sign that rules governments and authority, and enters the sign of Aquarius, ruler of science, air travel, communities and power people.
Pluto’s role is to intensify and transform what is not aligned with the flow of life. And in the process, it brings out secrets and what is hidden into the light so that we can finally deal with it. For the next 20 years will do that in all of the Aquarian themes (science, digitalisation, technology, space, and networks).
The last time Pluto moved to Aquarius, there was the French Revolution and the fall of Maria Antoniette. If you are interested in reading about this major transit, I recommend this in-depth article by Jessica Adams.
In short, Pluto’s transit through Aquarius offers the opportunity for true power to the people and grassroots movements to rise for the good of humanity. And for everyone to embrace their wholeness and shine. To find your unique way to contribute to the betterment of society.
But for that, we will need darkness to come to light.
2023 Energy shifts: Saturn
Another major transit also happening on March 7th, 2023, is Saturn leaving Aquarius and moving into the spiritual sign of Pisces for the next 2,5 years.
Saturn is the lord of time and karma, the great teacher that brings in the reality checks needed to navigate the constraints of the physical world. It has the energy of discipline and determination.
Saturn in Pisces will see spirituality maturing and getting more scientific validation, helping us better understand how the spiritual world works and why it works the way it does.
In short, we might see a more grounded and mature approach to spirituality.
2023 Energy shifts: Jupiter & the Lunar Nodes
Fast forward a couple of months, and on May 16th, Jupiter, the planet of abundance, leaves Aries (the sign of the self) and moves into Taurus (the sign of the body and Earth).
If in Aries, we had the opportunity to figure out who we are, when Jupiter moves to Taurus will offer us the opportunity to connect with our bodies and nature. And find the value in doing that.
Interestingly, shortly after Jupiter leaves Aries, on July 12th, the North Node moves into Aries and the South Node into its opposite sign, Libra.
Aries is the sign of the self (independence, autonomy and warrior), and Libra is the sign of the other (relationships, balance and harmony). This transit is an invitation to develop a strong sense of who you are. Focus on your personal choices rather than what the other is doing.
Become the hero in your own life story instead of trying to get someone else to be the hero. Taking responsibility for your decisions allows others to do the same for theirs.
How do you navigate the storm?
My aim in talking about a storm and shift is not to scare you but to give you the tools to be aware of those shifts we cannot see yet feel.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.
VIVIAN GREENE
I am sure you have gone through many storms, and here you are, wiser and stronger than you were. And you will continue to survive and become more discerning and stronger.
To dance in the rain, you need to develop a curiosity for what is about to unfold and trust that beyond getting wet, there will be a ray of sunshine to dry you up.
Create and follow your rhythm if you find yourself in a sea of chaos. Tap into the wisdom of your body.
You have all the tools you need:
- When you connect to your intuition, you gain clarity.
- Connect to your body to stay grounded.
- Connect to your cycles to plan and create the life you want.
- Align with the cosmos to co-create a life of flow and ease.
Develop daily practices that help you cultivate those tools:
- Meditation
- Walking in nature
- Exercise
- Healthy food
- Gratitude
- Compassion
- Self-love
- Use a Moon planner
Prioritising those simple practices makes life simple and increases your wellbeing. And when you feel well, you deal with life well.
I wish you a wonderful and magical year ahead!
With love and care,
Ester
